CONTRACT LINES FAILED
2
3 of 6 newsletter sponsorships, and monthly reporting across the flight. Two more lines unsubstantiated.
Bottom line. Against the signed scope, every impression line over-delivered and the content deliverables ran. Two lines failed outright: half the newsletter sponsorships, the single best-responding format in the buy, and the contracted monthly reporting, which arrived as one consolidated report seven months after close and only after a written demand. Two more are unsubstantiated: boost spend on the two contracted Facebook posts, and delivery of the unwatermarked video files with global, perpetual usage rights that Volvo Penta owns under this IO. Asks before any renewal: make good or credit the 3 sponsorships, hand over the video files with written rights confirmation, substantiate the boosts, and fix reporting terms. Full detail in the reconciliation tab.

DELIVERY AGAINST CONTRACT

The vendor summary reports a single blended total of 2,860,392. That figure sums display impressions, link impressions, email sends, video views, page views, and social views, measures that are not equivalent and cannot be aggregated to support an overdelivery claim. Sponsorship fulfillment IO contracts 6 sponsor-of-the-week newsletters. Three delivered per the vendor's own report. IO end date 31 Dec 2025; the only extension clause covers guaranteed impressions and nothing else. The three delivered sponsorships produced 78.4% of all newsletter clicks. No client materials were required for this line. FAILED TO DELIVER Make good 3 sponsorships in a future flight or credit their pro-rata value against the $22,800 contract.
Reporting period boundaries Cover states 1 Jan 2025 to 31 Mar 2026. The BoatBlurb social page states 1 Jan 2025 to 26 May 2026. Posts dated 6 Apr, 14 Apr, 16 Apr, 19 May and 21 May 2026 are included. Newsletter delivery does not begin until 16 Sep 2025. QA DEFECT Single stated period, applied consistently across all pages, with a restated set of totals. Note the IO footnote permits guaranteed impressions to run past 31 Dec 2025 until complete, which explains 2026 delivery dates for impressions and extends nothing else.
Blended delivered total 2,860,392 aggregates display impressions, link impressions, email sends, YouTube views, page views and social views. METHOD Report delivery by measure type. Overdelivery claims stated only against guaranteed like-for-like inventory.
Email sends reported as impressions 341,432 recipients carried into the impression total. Actual opens 95,797. METHOD Newsletter reported as opens. Sends may be shown as a secondary column.
Article classification One article contracted, six reported. 1,953 of 2,964 views come from posts about other brands with no Volvo Penta link shown. DOCUMENTATION Written confirmation of whether each article was contracted, added value, or incidental editorial, and whether any were billed.
Volume 281 open rate 14.4% against a 25.4% to 33.8% range across the other twelve editions. It is one of only three sponsored editions. QA DEFECT Explanation and, if a tracking failure, a corrected figure. If a send failure, a make-good.
BoatBlurb social omitted 6,389 views and 114 clicks appear on their own page but never enter the summary, which shows only the BoatDealers figures. QA DEFECT Fold into the summary. Indicates the report was assembled without internal reconciliation.
Duplicate X entry The 9 Feb and 26 Feb X rows carry the identical status URL and identical 35 / 0 / 0 values. QA DEFECT Correct or confirm. Integrity flag on the social tab as a whole.
LinkedIn 27 Feb anomaly 100 views, 50 clicks, 50 engagements. A 50% click-to-view ratio, well outside every other row. QA DEFECT Native LinkedIn export before the figure is accepted. Metric definitions for views, clicks and engagements.
Featured Brand and listing button merged 0.51% and 0.01% averaged into a single 0.06% line. The button is 88.7% of the merged impressions and 7.9% of the merged clicks. METHOD Report as separate units. Separate cost so the button can be evaluated on its own.
Review consumption platform 34,033 of 34,323 views are YouTube. The three review pages on BoatDealers.ca total 290 views. DOCUMENTATION Traffic source, geography and paid-versus-organic split on the YouTube views. Report on-property and off-property views as separate lines.
Newsletter and article links untagged All thirteen newsletter placements and the in-article link use the bare Forward Drive URL. The banner and link sections carry a UTM string on the same destination. QA DEFECT Apply the campaign tracking string to every placement the vendor deploys. Until then, all 185 newsletter clicks are unattributable in analytics.
Monthly reporting IO contracts monthly reporting on banner and text link impressions, clicks, video and article views, and engagement for all social and newsletter placements. One consolidated report was delivered, roughly seven months after the end date and only after a written closeout demand in May 2026. FAILED TO DELIVER Acknowledge the reporting shortfall. At renewal, monthly reporting with a defined delivery date becomes a contract term with a remedy attached.
Video files and usage rights IO requires unwatermarked versions of all 3 videos for Volvo Penta marketing and promotional use, including global, perpetual usage rights for Volvo Penta and its dealer and OEM network. The report shows view counts only. Nothing evidences delivery of the files or a rights confirmation. DOCUMENTATION Deliver the unwatermarked master files and written confirmation of the rights transfer. These are owned assets under the IO regardless of any renewal.
Boosted Facebook posts IO contracts one boosted post on BoatDealers.ca Facebook (landing page) and one on BoatBlurb Facebook (article). Boosting means paid spend. The report lists posts with no boost flag, spend figure, or paid reach breakout on any row. DOCUMENTATION Identify which posts were boosted, with spend and paid reach from the native ad platform. Absent that, the two boosted deliverables are unsubstantiated.
Cost by line item IO states a flat $22,800 with CPM marked N/A. No per-unit pricing exists in the IO or the report, so cost per impression and cost per click cannot be derived for any placement. DOCUMENTATION Renewal condition: line-item pricing. Also required to compute the pro-rata credit for the 3 undelivered sponsorships.
Independent click verification 2,562 clicks reported on tagged placements against a single campaign value. DOCUMENTATION Reconcile against landed sessions in Customer Journey Analytics on the Forward Drive page for the same period. The only figure in the report verifiable without the vendor.

EXCLUDED FROM THE REGISTER: VOLVO PENTA SIDE

  • Destination path routing. All Canadian-market placements resolve to the en-us path on volvopenta.com. Volvo Penta supplies the destination URL. Worth resolving internally, but not a vendor item.
  • UTM string construction on tagged placements. A single campaign value with no content parameter across all five banner formats, all three link variants, and Featured Brand. The tracking taxonomy originates on the Volvo Penta side. The vendor item is the absence of any tag on newsletter and article placements, which is listed in the register above.
  • Listing button destination and parameters. Different casing, different medium value, no campaign parameter, and a different landing page than every other placement. Tag construction is a Volvo Penta responsibility.
  • Creative supply and rotation. Creative assets are provided by Volvo Penta. The report contains no creative-level evidence, and no rotation finding can be made from it in either direction.

RESTATEMENT LADDER

Each adjustment is traceable to a specific line in the source report. Where the restatement stops depends on which definition of delivered exposure is being applied. No single figure is presented as the correct total.

Method. Every figure is either quoted directly from the vendor report or computed from its stated line items. All subtotals and rollups in the source were independently recalculated and reconcile to their inputs. Percentages are calculated here, not carried over.

No external benchmarks applied. All performance comparisons are internal to this report. No industry click-through rate range is asserted.

Standing position. Measured against the IO dated 26 Jun 2024 ($22,800 flat, end date 31 Dec 2025): guaranteed banner and link inventory over-delivered at 124.0%, and the videos, written reviews, article, Featured Brand, listing buttons, and newsletter banners were delivered. Three of six newsletter sponsorships and the contracted monthly reporting were not delivered; the extension clause covers impressions only, so neither shortfall is open. Boost spend on two contracted Facebook posts and delivery of the unwatermarked video files with global, perpetual usage rights remain unsubstantiated. The report additionally blends non-equivalent measures into its delivered total and carries the reconciliation and quality defects listed above.
